WASSCE 2021 Leakage: WAEC to monitor suspected 11 schools
The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has stated that it will intensify monitoring of 11 schools suspected of engaging in high-level examination malpractice.
The Africa Education Watch blew the first alarm indicating WASSCE 2021 Leakage during the Food and Nutrition Paper 3 however WAEC denied it.
WAEC has stated that it was going to increase examination centre monitoring to avert any further leakage.
It said “Increased inspection and monitoring at the various centres” was going to feature during the remaining papers. “Additionally, the following schools in respect of which tip-offs were received on intents to cheat are being closely monitored for evidence to validate the claims:” the council stated.

WAEC will monitor the following 11 schools suspected of malpractice
- Ejisu Senior High Technical School
- Anlo-Afiadenyigba Senior High School,
- Tepa Senior High School
- Yeji Senior High Technical School
- King David College, Somanya
- Ideal College, Sunyani
- Christ the King Senior High School, Obuasi
- Modern Senior High School, Kpong
- Modern Senior High School, Kintampo
- Oyoko Methodist Senior High School
- Klo Agogo Senior High School
It added that it has withdrawn some supervisors and invigilators from providing services for the Council pending further sanctioning.

In addition to that measure, the council will scrutinize scripts of schools where cheating has been reported. Where mass cheating is established in centres, the appropriate sanctions would be applied it added.

WAEC pledged to continue to track rogue websites and social media cartels in collaboration with security agencies to ensure examination leakages are halted.
