Nine (9) Schools Invited To 2022 NSMQ Prelims By Primetime
Primetime Limited produces an annual national-level quiz tournament for high schools. This year they have invited nine schools to feature in the prelims stage.
The quiz encourages students to study science and math, helps them become more analytical and scientific, and promotes SHS competition.
Primetime Production, organizers of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ), has invited nine (9) schools based on merit to compete in the 2022 NSMQ prelims.
Nine high schools that finished last in their regional qualifiers with 40 or more points will compete in 2022.
The following nine schools have been invited to compete in the National Science and Mathematical Quiz (NSMQ) in 2022:
Achimota School
Mankraso High School
Ofori Panin Senior High School
Osei Kyeretwie Secondary School
T.I AMASS (Kumasi)
SDA SHS in Bewkai
St. Monca’s Senior High School
Tema Secondary School
Winneba Senior High School
Following the balloting process, the NSMQ producer announced that the preliminary stage would be held October 10-13, 2022, and the One-Eight stage would be held October 15-18, 2022.
Quarterfinals are Oct. 19-21, 2022, and semifinals are Oct. 23. Prime-grand time’s finale is scheduled for October 26, 2022.
Prempeh College won the NSMQ the first time it was moved to Accra as part of their winning streak.
Surprisingly, NSMQ 2021 is the first time the NSMQ has been held in Kumasi, and they have won it again.
The fiercely contested competition was held at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, KNUST, in Kumasi.
Although KNUST SHS could not live up to their words in their quest for Host & Win, Prempeh College has completed the HOST&WIN agenda.
Because the competition is held in Kumasi, it is also their home.
