No Way, I Won’t Allow You To Do This To Me -Vice President Dr. Bawumia Finally Issues Strong Message
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President, has said that his integrity is a priceless asset that he has worked hard to build over the years.
Since then, he has made it clear that he won’t let people use his name for wrongdoing because his honesty is still his best card.
Anas Aremeyaw Anas said that Charles Adu Boahen, a Minister of State at the Ministry of Finance, had used the Vice President’s name to ask investors for $200,000 so that he could set up a meeting with the Vice President. Dr. Bawumia responded quickly on his Facebook page on Monday.
In a very angry Facebook post, Dr. Bawumia, who is seen by many as one of the most honest politicians around, criticized the Minister for what he was said to have done. He also said that he didn’t know the Minister had done anything like that.
After the news broke, the Vice President said that the Minister of State’s job was no longer possible and called for him to be fired.
Shortly after the Vice President’s speech, the President sent out a press release saying that the Minister of State had been fired and that his actions would be looked into by the Special Prosecutor.
