NSA assures service personnel of payment of 2025 September allowance

The National Service Authority (NSA), citing nearing administrative processes, has assured service personnel across the country that the payment of their September 2025 service allowance will be effected soon.

In a statement signed by Deputy Director-General for Finance and Administration, Donkor Fuseini, the Authority acknowledged the concerns of personnel regarding the delay in payment of their allowance.

NSA confirmed that all necessary documentation needed for the release of the funds has been completed, and the Service Authority is awaiting final approval from the Accountant-General.

“We appreciate your patience and understanding as the processes are actively ongoing. The Directorate of Finance and Administration has confirmed that all necessary documentation and submissions have been completed and are currently with the Office of the Accountant-General for final approval and release of funds,” the statement read.

The NSA assured all personnel that payment would be made immediately after approval from the Office of the Accountant-General and reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the timely disbursement of allowances in the future.

“We value your service to the nation and encourage all personnel to remain calm as we work closely with the relevant stakeholders to resolve this matter promptly,” the statement added.

The National Service Authority’s clarification comes after several national service personnel took to social media to register their displeasure over the delay in receiving their September stipends.

In other news, the management of the National Service Authority (NSA) has announced to increase in the current GH¢715 per monthly allowance paid to service personnel across the country.

Speaking to journalists, the Acting Director-General of the Authority, Ruth Dela Seddoh, declined to disclose the exact percentage but said discussions are at an advanced stage to finalise a new rate.

“It is something that the President has expressed his interest in. But we all know the situation we find ourselves in, and so we don’t want to press him too hard. Let’s be hopeful,” the Authority Director said.

Ruth Dela Seddoh told journalists, “I don’t want to go ahead of the Minister, but I can assure you that we have had very good talks and we are hopeful that there will be some increment.”
