NSS Releases Postings Of 13,516 Trained Teachers For 2024 Service Year

Management of the Ghana National Service Scheme (NSS) has released postings of trained teachers to undertake their mandatory national service for the 2024 national service year. 13,516 teachers have been deployed for one year mandatory national Service.
All eligible national service personnel are therefore requested to log onto the Scheme’s website, to check their placements and then proceed to the various user agencies to endorse their appointment letters before they book appointments online for registration and validation at designated centres in the regions.
However, validation and registration at all regional centres across the country would begin on Friday, 8th March, 2024.

To minimize excessive crowding at the validation centres, all national service personnel must schedule appointments online and visit the validation centres on the scheduled date and time for validation with strict adherence to the COVID-19 protocol guidelines.
All national service personnel who have been deployed are hereby entreated to accept their postings as part of their civic obligations and contributions to national development.

Check your National Service Posting Status, kindly follow the steps below to access your postings
- Log on to the National Service Posting Portal by CLICKING HERE
- Enter your NSS Number (e.g., NSSGWC133198) in the required box
Finally, click on the Submit button and wait for the posting information window to pop-up.
Management wishes to emphasize that it will not encourage change of postings; and therefore, urges all service personnel posted to accept their placements and consider it as part of their contributions towards the socio-economic development of the nation.

Established in 1973, the National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Government of Ghana program under the Ministry of Education of Ghana with a National Secretariat in Accra, and offices in all administrative regions and districts across the country. The scheme is mandated to deploy a pool of skilled manpower drawn primarily from tertiary institutions to support the development efforts of both the public and private sectors in Ghana.
Although it is a citizenry requirement for all Ghanaians who are eighteen years above, it is currently limited to, and mandatory for all Ghanaians graduating from tertiary educational institutions who are not less than eighteen years old. The original intent of deploying freshly graduating youth under the NSS arrangement is to ensure that priority sectors of our national life are never lacking in the requisite human resources needed for development
