The National Teaching Council of Ghana, in collaboration with Instill Education, is registering teachers for a free online professional development training program.
Requirements for the free online training
According to the notice from the NTC and Instill Education applicants must meet the following requirements. The applicant must …
- Be a professional teacher.
- Own a laptop or smartphone.
- Be ready to use his/her own internet data for the program.
- Be able to participate in virtual discussions.
- Be willing to use their own data to access information from the internet and must be available to learn with peers via WhatsApp and Learning Management Platforms
- Be willing to perform additional tasks by learning and applying what is been learned
- Be willing to participate in discussions on virtual platforms
- Be able to meet deadlines.
- Should be a pre-tertiary teacher(Primary to SHS)
NTC Free online professional development training program modules
Professional teachers who meet the above basic requirements are required to choose 2 modules of the 10 training modules below when registering for the training.

The modules to choose from are of two types. They are the School Leader Module and the Teacher Module.

The training will provide teachers with the needed knowledge in the respective training modules. This is expected to equip teachers with the relevant skills for the effective and efficient performance of their duties.
In a related development, the earlier K.A Technologies and GES three-day online training was called off after teachers agitated about the cost of the training, the decision of the GES to move the training online after teacher unions had entered into an agreement with the service provider and the GES to organize the training as a Face-to-Face training.
