The National Teaching Council (NTC) in collaboration with the National Council of Private School Teachers, NCOPST is organizing this all-important training workshop for private school teachers in Ghana.
The training aims at preparing non-professional teachers in private schools for the award of temporary teacher licenses to allow them to continue to practice as teachers in the classroom.
Per the new education act, no one can practice as a teacher without he or she has a license. It is against this background that the National Council of Private School Teachers is collaborating with the National Teaching Council to organize this Sensitization program for all private school teachers.
According to the NCOPST, the NTC & NCOPST Workshop for Private School Teachers will be carried out on a regional basis. Teachers who fill the form from each of the 16 regions will undergo the training in their region on yet-to-be-announced dates and venues.
This program will help all teachers (Professional and Non-Professional) to be abreast with the new Education Reform.
This training is compulsory for all private school teachers because you cannot practice the teaching profession without a teacher license or temporary teacher license.

All non-professional teachers in private schools are going to be taken through the requirements and the steps on how to register for a temporary teacher license. Also, NTC will educate teachers on the duration of the training and the contents for the acquisition of a temporary teacher license.
