Nursing and Midwifery Training Colleges 2023/2024 Online Admissions Portal To Be Opened On Monday
The Ministry of Health has announced that the online admissions portal fpr Nursing and Midwifery Training Colleges will be opened on Monday, April 8th, 2024, to Friday, May 31st, 2024. Eligible candidates are invited to apply for entry into any of Ghana’s Public Health Training Institutions.
Important Points for Applicants to Note
- All purchased vouchers remain valid until June 5th, 2024, if unused.
- Correspondence will be conducted solely via SMS or email; no postage envelopes are required.
- Purchase application codes from Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) or GCB Bank Plc. (GCB) branches at a cost of Two Hundred Ghana Cedis (GH$200.00).
- Upon payment, receive a voucher containing a unique PIN and Serial Number.
- Provide a dedicated phone number and a personal valid email address for all communications. (Avoid using relatives’ email addresses)
- Include your residential and Ghana Post Digital Address.
- Access the online application form using the provided PIN code and Serial Number. Click here
- The online registration form is accessible solely by the assigned PIN and Serial Number.
- Follow instructions meticulously and complete all relevant stages of the admission process.
- Utilize the PIN and Serial Number to track the admission process status.
- Only applicants meeting admission requirements will be invited for a competitive interview at their chosen school.
- Applicants can seek assistance with form completion at any nearby Health Training Institution.

PROGRAMMES OFFERED
- BSc. Nursing | BSc. Midwifery (4 Years – Undergraduate)
- Post NAC/HAC BSc. Nursing | BSc. Midwifery (3 Years).
- Post DIPLOMA BSc. Nursing/Midwifery (2 Years)
- Diploma in Nursing / Diploma in Midwifery (3 Years).
- Nurse Assistant Clinical Certificate (2 Years)
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
BSc. Nursing & Midwifery PROGRAMMES
- WASSCE/SSSCE Applicants must have at least CREDIT PASSES (A1-C6) or a worse aggregate of 36.
- Applicants must have offered any of the following courses at the secondary school level
a. General Science
b. General Arts
c. Home Economics (Food and Nutrition option will be an advantage)
d. General Agriculture with (Chemistry, Physics or Biology, Elective Mathematics)
DIPLOMA NURSE’S ENTRY
Candidates with diploma in registered general nursing awarded by institutions recognized by the National Accreditation Board (NAB) and the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) of Ghana and the following:
- Transcript with NMC certificate
- NMC PIN
- Birth certificate
- WASSCE/SSSCE Result
ENROLLED NURSES’ (POST HAC/NAC TOP-UP)
- Transcript with NMC certificate
- NMC AIN
- Birth certificate
- WASSCE/SSSCE result
- Participate and pass a six-week access course with the school.
SECTIONS for the Programmes: Regular | Evening | Weekend | Sandwich.

Diploma in Nursing & Midwifery PROGRAMMES
WASSCE/SSSCE Applicants
- WASSCE/SSSCE Applicants must have at least CREDIT PASSES (A1-C6/A-D) in the following score subjects;
a. English
b. Mathematics
c. Intergrated Science - CREDIT PASSES (A1-C6/A-D) in any of three of the subjects in the following SHS courses:
a. General Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology)
b. General Arts
c. Home Economics (Food and Nutrition)
d. General Agriculture with Chemistry or Physics
With an aggregate of 36 or better for WASSCE and aggregate 24 or better for SSSCE.
Entry Requirements Into Nursing/Midwifery Training Colleges In Ghana
G.C.E O-Level
- FIVE CREDIT PASSES IN G.C.E. O-LEVEL SUBJECTS INCLUDING:
a. Mathematics
b. English Language
c. Integrated Science
d. And any two subjects and THREE G.C.E. A-Level passes
Nurse Assistant Clinical Certificate
WASSCE/SSSCE Applicants
- PASSES (A1-E8/A-E) in the following subjects
a. English
b. Mathematics
c. Intergrated Science - Passes (A1-E8/A-E) in any of the programs done at Senior High School.
With an aggregate of 40 or better for WASSCE and aggregate 30 or better for SSSCE.
NB: After completing the Nurse Assistant Clinical Programme successfully, students will have the opportunity to top-up to do Diploma in Nursing (2 Years), Diploma in Midwifery (2 Years) or BSc Nursing (3 Years) at preferred College or University.
