The 2024 AERC masters scholarship is currently opened to the public. Here are the step-to-step process in applying for the scholarship.

The African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) Masters Scholarship is open to candidates from Anglophone sub-Saharan African countries who have been admitted to any of the AERC Collaborative Masters Programme (CMAP) in Economics universities listed below.

Eligibility

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must:

To apply, applicants must be admitted to one of the CMAP universities
Have a Second Class Honours (Upper Division) or equivalent in Economics or a related field from an accredited university
Be female or from a post-conflict or fragile state.

The African Economic Research Consortium, founded in 1988, is a capacity-building institution that informs economic policies in Sub-Saharan Africa. AERC has three main components: research, training, and policy outreach.

The organization conducts economic policy research, postgraduate training, and policy outreach through a network of researchers, universities, and policymakers in Africa and around the world.

Research Programme The Research Programme’s main components are thematic and collaborative research projects, which are supplemented by other capacity-building initiatives.
