It is exactly a week that students in Colleges Of Education across the country are not being fed. This terrible condition is a result of the indefinite strike action which was announced by the Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) and Colleges of Education Non-Teaching Staff Association of Ghana (CENSTAG).

This strike action began on 14th November 2022. Teacher Trainees have not been given any food for the past seven days. The teacher Trainees Association Of Ghana (TTAG) has petitioned the various stakeholders on the need to address the grievances of CETAG And CENSTAG.
The minister in charge of education, Honorable Osei Adwutum is mute. We have not heard how far the education ministry is handling the situation. There is a need for the minister of education to speak on the matter so that CETAG and CENSTAG can call off their strike.
Information on the grounds confirmed that a number of the teacher trainees have left their campus. They are dying of hunger. They have to travel to their various homes to get something to eat.
