WAEC has released the 2024 WASSCE results; however, all candidates who fail in one or more subjects must consider registering for the WAEC WASSCE for private candidates. Although WAEC announced 31st December as the closing date, the closing date is expected to be extended given the late release of the results for school candidates.
The management of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has commenced the 2025 edition of the WASSCE for private registration of the first series of the national examination.
If you do not take advantage od the first series, you will have to wait until NovDec Private WASSCE to take the same exam.
In a social media post sighted by GhanaEducation.org, the not-for-profit organization said registration for the WASSCE for Private Candidates, which commenced Monday, October 21, 2024, will end on December 31, 2024.
The 2025 first series West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates is scheduled to take place from Saturday, January 25, 2025, to Saturday, February 15, 2025.
Students who do not make the right grades when WAEC releases the 2024 WASSCE results will have to take advantage of the first series, which will be administered from January 25th, 2025.
This is the first time WAEC has introduced two WASSCEs for private candidates in Ghana, and students who fail to take advantage of the January exam will have to wait until November-December to resit the WASSCE.
