The National Teaching Council has officially commenced the registration of teachers who were recruited by the Ghana Education Service (GES) after August 2018.
Registration of GES teachers employed after August 2018
The registration took effect today, Monday, April 19, 2021. It is expected to end on May 7, 2021.
Per the statement of the NTC copied to Ghanaeducation.org, it said this registration is part of efforts to ensure teacher professionalism in the country.
“As part of the process, all qualified teachers who were employed before September 1, 2018, are required to log on to the NTC’s Teacher Portal Ghana (TPG) via https://tpg.ntc.gov.gh and register before May 7, 2021,” NTC stated.
“Teachers who were recruited after August 31, 2018, are required to pass the GTLE to merit the license and registration numbers, thus their provisional license shall be replaced with the full license,”
The NTC furthered that, qualified teachers who do not register during this teacher license and number registration will lose their rights to practice as teachers in the country.
