N&MC announces new policy renewal of PIN/AIN for nurses, midwives
All Professional Identification Numbers and Auxilliary Identification Numbers (PIN/AIN) of nurses and midwives effective January 2021 shall be renewed by January 31. The ID will however expire on December 31, 2021, each year, the Nursing Council has said.
The Nursing and Midwifery Council (N&MC) in a statement copied to Ghanaeducation.org revealed that Nurse Assistants, Nurses, and Midwives are to take notice of the following regarding the renewal of PIN/AIN for Nurses and Midwives
- PIN/AIN cards that were renewed on or before June 30, 2020, will attract
full payment of fees for PIN/AIN renewal by January 31, 2021. - PIN/AIN cards that were renewed on or after July 1, 2020, will attract half
payment of fees for PIN/AIN renewal by January 31, 2021.

According to the Nursing and Midwifery Council, section 73 of the Health Professions Regulatory Bodies Act 2013 (Act 857), it is an offense to practice without a valid license.
