What is the cost of replacing a missing Driver’s Licence in Ghana?
Per the DVLA a driver’s licence can be replaced at the cost of Ghs725.00. Note that DVLA Prestige Centre is responsible for providing this service.
What are the requirements of the DVLA if you need to replace your missing license?
1. A Police extract is needed and this can be gotten from the nearest police station
A police extract, also known as a police report or incident report, is a document that provides details about a specific incident or event that has come to the attention of law enforcement.
In the context of getting a missing driver’s license replaced, you may need to obtain a police extract or report to prove that your driver’s license has been lost or stolen.
This report can serve as evidence when you apply for a replacement driver’s license.
2. An Identification Card
Once you get your police extract, you need a valid National ID card. You can use the Ghana Card or your passport but the former is preferred in recent times for identification purposes.
3. A certified eye test result from any accredited DVLA eye test centre
Let the staff know that you need an eye test for retrieving your missing Driver’s License. An accredited DVLA eye test centre will know exactly the test to conduct and the report to be provided to aid in your retrieval of the license.
