Report schools charging for signing and stamping SHS Enrolment Forms to GES

It has come to the notice of this portal that, some schools are insisting that parents and BECE graduates pay some money before the school signs and stamps their enrolment forms for them. The signing and stamping of the 2023 School Placement and enrolment document is not a service that the candidates or their parents should pay for.
It will be prudent that the Ghana Education Service takes this matter up and cautions the head teachers, school owners, and teachers who may be engaging in this illegality.
What are we teaching the young ones if we are charging for signing enrolment forms for their Free SHS?
We also recommend that parents and students who are being forced to pay for signing and stamping SHS Enrolment Forms should contact the GES Help Centre on their official number to report such individuals and schools.
Apart from taking your SHS Enrolment Form to your basic school head, parents and candidates can instead take the form to any other public officers, Rev. Ministers, and Imams who have official office stamps to help them sign and stamp the forms for the students/parents.
Every attempt by anyone in a leadership position to take undue advantage of students and parents must be reported to the security officers for action.
Parents are charged to report any character asking them or their wards to pay for the signing and stamping of the enrolment documents.

In a related development. Some parents are not happy with the schools their wards have been placed in and are seeking illegal means to alter the schools their wards have been placed in. It is important for parents to stop seeking such help, as it creates a conducive environment for School Placement fraud to thrive.
We want to further put on record that, Ghanaeducation.org does not encourage any illegality, we do not change schools, we have no such capabilities, we are not interested in this crime, and will not entertain any attempts. Parents and other stakeholders seeking for this kind of service are advised not to contact us.

We further challenge parents to let their wards enrol in the schools they have been placed in. However, they have the option of also enrolling their wards in Private SHSs if they so wish.
