Resign From The National Cathedral Board – A-Plus Urges Dr Joyce Aryee
Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A-Plus has urged Dr Joyce Aryee to resign as a member of the National Cathedral Board of trustees.
According Kwame A-Plus, Dr. Joyce Aryee is a very respectable personality in Ghana. He added that resigning from the project is the best decision that must be taken by Joyce Aryee.
“It is time to admit that if something wrong is going on and if it must be said, it must be said no matter the political party you support. It really pains that my mother is still there as the board trustee. She should resign. Madam Joyce Aryee is a very respectable person in Ghana. She is the mother for all. I will urge her to resign” he said
Meanwhile, the National Cathedral Secretariat has indicated that there is an audit currently ongoing on their books.

But speaking on the supposed audit of the books of the project, A Plus said, “If you’re dealing with a politician and he says expectation, forget about it. It means nothing will happen.
This comes after Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, and Rev. Eastwood Anaba, resigned as members of the Board of Trustees overseeing the construction of the National Cathedral.
In a joint statement issued by Archbishop Duncan-Williams and Rev. Anaba, they clarified that their decision to step down is a direct result of the government’s failure to appoint an independent accounting firm to conduct a comprehensive audit of all public funds contributed to the National Cathedral project. Back on January 23 of this year, these two religious leaders had called for an immediate suspension of the project and a financial audit.
They cited the controversies surrounding the project as the reason for their call, emphasizing that such a suspension would have paved the way for transparency and accountability for the benefit of the Ghanaian people. In a memo addressed to the Board of Trustees, they had also stressed the importance of an independent audit of the project’s expenditures.
