Sacking Of Ken Ofori Atta – Minority MPs Cast Secret Ballot As Majority MPs Walk Out.
The censure motion against the current Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta started gradually and it is now gaining a bigger image in the country. The minority members of Parliament admit that the current hardship in the country as well as the economic crisis should be linked to the recklessness of Ken Ofori Atta.
There is no time to waste on the side of the minority members of Parliament for Government to keep Ken Ofori Atta to be in power any longer. The time has come for Ken Ofori Atta to go and rest for a competent person to replace him.
However, the story is not the same for the majority. The majority in Parliament disagrees with a vote of censure against Ken Ofori Atta. The majority in Parliament walked out of Parliament for the Minority in Parliament to do what they see as right.
The speaker of Parliament then proceeded for the NDC MPs to cast secret voting to determine the fate of Ken Ofori Atta. Even though the majority in parliament walked out, the proceedings in parliament did not end. The speaker of parliament persisted, and the vote of censure was conducted.
