Sammy Forson Quits Joy FM after five years

Award-winning  versatile Broadcaster , Sammy Forson has officially resigned from Multimedia Group (Joy FM) after five years working with the Accra based radio station  to take up other opportunities.

Sammy Forson joined Joy FM in 2018 from EIB Network (Live FM) in Kumasi.
He was serving as the Host of Joy FM’s ‘Ignition’ from Monday to Thursday 1pm-3pm and ‘Weekend city’ on every Saturday from 7:30am -9 am.

Sammy Forson started his media career back in 2001 at Kumasi as a Computer System Engineer.
He works with Garden City Radio, YFM, Citi FM and Live FM before joining Multimedia Group in 2018.

Apart from being on radio, Sammy Forson also served as a Manager for Sarkcess Music from 2010 to 2015.

With his two decades experience on Radio, he has been a phenomenon and industrious to the music space by using his medium to promote music and also providing his cherish listeners with sweet and impactful words.

On Thursday, December 7,2023, Sammy Forson announce his resignation from the media space and desires of starting another career which is yet to be disclosed.

He acknowledged his management and his wonderful listeners who has been with him from the genesis of his media career up to date.

“I am overwhelmed with gratitude for each and every one of you. Your unwavering love, support, and dedication have been the heartbeat of my journey. It’s been an honor to be a part of your lives, to share stories, laughter, and moments that have woven us together,” Sammy Forson.

“From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for allowing me into your homes, cars, and daily routines. The memories we’ve created will forever hold a special place in my heart. To my incredible team, colleagues and all those who’ve supported me along this path, your contributions have been invaluable,” he added.

Sammy is among the notable Ghanaian music enthusiasts that have used their platforms to shape and promote Ghana music.

The management and staff of Multimedia Group has wished him well on all his endeavors after he disclosed intentions.
