Sex Workers Increase Prices
Due to economic hardship, Ghanaian sex workers have increase their prices. Traders and service providers have raised prices due to the economic crisis.
“Ashawo” sex workers in Kumasi and Accra have raised their prices to match inflation.
According to these sex workers, business clothes, makeup, and pharmaceutical products used to attract men have increased, so they raised prices.
Ghana heats well. My time in Ghana was good but bad. We chop and drive to increase our customers.”

“Men complain money no dey. Some say dem no pay dema salary for months. One sex worker told the media, “The way we dey here so, before in the morning we fit get three men but naw we dey struggle to get one man sef for the whole day.”
She also urged the government to address economic hardship.
