Shocking: Man rapes his own mother in Western North Region
A shocking incident of incest and rape has occurred in Sefwi Anhwai, a town in the Western North Region of Ghana. A 36-year-old man, identified only as Kaya, allegedly rapes his 54-year-old mother in his room on Thursday, October 19, 2023.
According to eyewitnesses, Kaya lured his mother into his room under the pretext of having a conversation with her.
He then locked the door and forced himself on her, while she screamed for help.
No one came to her rescue, as Kaya had threatened to kill anyone who tried to intervene.
After raping his mother, Kaya gave her an orange juice to drink and told her to keep quiet about what he had done.
He then fled the scene and has since been on the run. The mother was left traumatized and injured by the ordeal.
She was later taken to the Sefwi Wiawso Regional Government Hospital for medical attention and counseling.
She reported the incident to the police, who have launched a manhunt for Kaya.
The police have also appealed to the public to provide any information that could lead to his arrest.
