All BECE graduates want is the release of the school placements and from all indications, the SHS Placement for the 2023 Academic Year Will Be Released This Week.
The Ghana Education Service academic calendar for the year has clearly indicated that SHS1 students will be required to report to school on 20th February 2023.
It is barely a week to the date, and we project without any doubt that, the Ministry of Education will release the 2023 School placement between Monday 13th February, and Friday 17th February 2023.
If the results are released, parents would have to visit the schools into which their wards have been placed to pick up the school prospectus.
The relevant forms and prospectus will have to be filled and school logistics or provisions procured for the students before they report to school.
Again, the MoE will indicate on the school placement document you download the date on which students are to report to school to commence the semester.
Note that, when the placement is out, you will have to check and print out the placement form and the school enrolment form.
Parents would have to fill out the enrolment form and add at least two and at most four passport-size photographs of the student to it. These printed documents and the result slip of the student will have to be taken to the school for the necessary documentation to be done.
While you wait for the school placement to be released. Take the following pieces of advice seriously.
- Check the school placement early so that just in case you are not placed, but you have the chance to do self-placement you can do that and get the best school out of those to be published in the database.
- Note that your school placement will not change no matter the number of times you recheck it.
- You cannot change the programme you are offered when you start school as an SHS1 student.
- When you are enrolled in a school, you cannot your school or get a transfer. If you want to be transferred to another school, you have to spend at least one year in the school you have been placed in.
