Soale Razak Named TTAG President for the 2024/25 School Year
Soale Razak, a level 400 student teacher at Tamale College of Education in the Northern Zone (Tamale), has emerged as the National President of the Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) with an overwhelming 89.6% of the total vote cast.
Expressing his gratitude to the electorate in a message following the election held at the GNAT Hall in Kuforidua on March 28, 2024, he assured them of his unwavering commitment to address the concerns and aspirations of teacher trainees. He also promised to lead TTAG towards a brighter future under his guidance.
Having previously served as the President of the Student Representative Council of Tamale College of Education (TACE-SRC), Soale Razak filed his nominations on March 16, 2024, to contest for the leadership position in the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana.

In a widely circulated video announcing his candidacy, Soale Razak acknowledged the contributions of past TTAG administrations and emphasized the importance of having an experienced leader with a proven track record to steer the association forward.
He stated that his primary focus lies in providing effective leadership and advocating for the welfare of prospective teacher trainees across the 46 government Colleges of Education (CoE) nationwide.

“The Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) has witnessed transformative leadership since its inception, with each generation of leaders setting new standards within their capabilities,” Soale Razak remarked.
To all the dedicated teacher trainees across the country, I have spent the past few months reflecting on the vision of our esteemed association. It is a vision that aims to elevate our association to new heights, surpassing mere meetings and showcasing our educational excellence at our respective institutions.
This vision aims to advocate for student representation in our political system to address student issues and work towards improvement,” expressed the senior student from Tamale College of Education in a video.
In a statement to the media following the submission of his nomination papers, he emphasized that his candidacy is about serving others rather than being served, viewing it as a call to duty.

“I am not pursuing my personal agenda, but rather focusing on the greater good of teacher trainees. The students at TACE can confirm my accomplishments and contributions to the student community. If elected as TTAG President, I will ensure that the needs and goals of teacher trainees in Ghana are effectively addressed through concrete projects and programs,” he affirmed.
