Stop Intimidating Headmasters; GES And MoE Told

GES And MoE should Stop Intimidating Headmasters.
A section of Ghanaians is fed up with the kind of development that the Ghana Education Service (GES) is trying to introduce to the ministry. An incident occurred in the Nothern Region of Ghana where a headmaster was asked to step down with immediate effect. It is right to do what is acceptable and reject or say no to what is false.
The issue is, we don’t want to say Ghana Education Service and Ministry of Education should condone bad deeds but it looks as if they are exercising their power to a very far extent. The headmaster for Ghana Senior High School, GHANASCO, and his Housemaster have been suspended after they turned the toilet facility into an accommodation for students to reside in. What they did wasn’t the best but that release was very harsh and it is more or less intimidation.
Not too long ago, just immediately the headmaster for Ghana Senior High School GHANASCO was suspended, and the headmaster for FIJIA Senior High School has been interdicted. In all press releases from the Ghana Education Service and Ministry of Education, there were attached reasons and the need to take such actions. However, we are getting some indications that, the Ministry wants to cripple headmasters.
There are serious issues and factors that Ghana Education Service should be more concerned about. They should work hand in hand with other to provide excellent textbooks and teaching and learning resources for the various schools across the country. Effective teacher supervision should also be one of their major concerns other than intimidating heads of schools across the country.
