Another Teacher Caught With Female SHS Student in Science Lab as Viral Video Sparks Outrage
A video circulating on social media has triggered fresh concern over student safety in Ghanaian schools after a teacher was allegedly caught engaging in sexual misconduct with a female student inside a science laboratory.
The footage, which has been widely shared online, appears to show a distressed man attempting to cover his face after being confronted by people who had entered the laboratory.
The identity of the school involved has not yet been independently established, and GhanaEducation.org has not found an official statement from the Ghana Education Service confirming the incident.
Social media users have identified the teacher as “Sir Ray”, but that identification also remains unverified.
What the Viral Video Appears to Show
According to the account accompanying the video, some students became suspicious that something was happening inside the school’s science laboratory.
The students reportedly entered the laboratory and found the teacher with a female student.

The footage appears to show the man becoming visibly anxious when the students entered.
He can reportedly be heard pleading with the students, repeatedly saying “boys, boys”, while attempting to shield his face from the camera.
The female student also appears distressed in the footage.
However, GhanaEducation.org cannot independently establish the circumstances leading up to the recording, the identities of the people shown or the exact location where the video was recorded.
Those details must be established by the appropriate authorities.
GES Must Investigate the Viral Claim
The allegations are serious enough to warrant immediate attention from the Ghana Education Service (GES) and, where necessary, the Ghana Police Service.
A school laboratory is expected to be a place for teaching, learning and practical scientific work.
It should never become a location where a student is allegedly exposed to sexual misconduct involving an adult responsible for teaching or supervising students.
If the person shown in the video is indeed a teacher and the person involved is a student, the circumstances require a proper investigation rather than conclusions based solely on social media.
The welfare and protection of the student must also remain the priority.
The Bole SHS Case Makes the New Video Particularly Concerning
The latest video is emerging against the backdrop of the Bole SHS sexual misconduct case, which shocked Ghana earlier in 2026.
In that case, GES confirmed that a teacher at Bole Senior High School had been accused of engaging in sexual misconduct with a female student in the school’s science laboratory.
The teacher was interdicted, while investigations were initiated.
The Ministry of Education subsequently called for the teacher to be located and arrested after reports that he had failed to report to duty.
Because the earlier Bole case also involved a science laboratory, the latest social-media video is likely to generate even greater public concern.
But the two incidents should not be treated as the same case unless authorities establish that connection.

Social Media Is Not a Substitute for Investigation
The speed at which videos spread on Facebook, TikTok, WhatsApp and other platforms can put enormous pressure on authorities.
It can also create problems when people are wrongly identified or when unverified claims are presented as established facts.

Ghana’s Schools Must Remain Safe Spaces
The latest video raises an uncomfortable question about how schools protect students from inappropriate relationships and sexual misconduct involving adults.
Teachers occupy positions of trust and authority.
Students should therefore be able to attend lessons, use laboratories and participate in school activities without fear of exploitation or abuse.
The allegations in this latest video remain unproven.
But they are serious enough that the GES should establish the facts quickly and transparently.
Until that happens, the public should resist naming the school or treating the identity circulating online as confirmed.
