Teachers Cautioned: Important and Strong Message Drops For GES Teachers Nationwide

The National Teaching Council is issuing licenses to professional teachers who teach in both public and private schools across the country in order to improve and standardize the teaching profession.
In this light, Mr. Boadu Abedi William, the Western and Western North Regional Secretary for GNAT, has stated that the Ghana Education Service has a code of professional conduct that spells out the DOs and DON’Ts in the teaching profession.
He made it clear that any teacher who violates this clearly written professional code of conduct will have his or her license revoked.
As a result, he urged teachers to follow the rules and regulations of the noble teaching profession in order to have a positive impact on society.
Mr Boadu Abedi William, speaking in an interview with Wassa East-based radio station Wassaman FM, encouraged teachers to attend the various NTC workshops in order to accumulate more points to be able to renew their licenses because, very soon, teachers will also use the professional touch, that is, the license, for salary negotiation with the government and bargain for better conditions of service for teachers.
