Teachers directed to update their NTC profiles for new subject-specific licenses

All professional teachers with licenses nearing expiration are to update their NTC profiles with new and relevant information for the issuance of new subject-specific licenses.

The National Teaching Council (NTC) teacher license has an expiration date, and each time that that is getting closer, teachers are required to renew their licences. Often, to renew, a teacher would have to update his or her profile details on the NTC portal.

A recent communique from the NTC on the need for teachers nearing the expiration of their current license to update their profiles has been sighted by the Ghana Education News Portal. All teachers are to update their NTC profiles for new subject-specific licences.

According to the NTC, this is part of the efforts toward issuing new license cards to teachers in Ghana based on their subject specialisation. All teachers are required to log in to their accounts on Teacher Portal Ghana and update their profiles with the specific subjects they teach along with the required proof of certification.

What is the procedure to follow for the update of teachers’ NTC profiles for new subject-specific licences?

The guide for a successful update of the profile is as follows: When you are entering your data, keep cross-checking the information every step throughout the process to ensure you do not enter the wrong information.
