Tension At Jasikan College Of Education; SRC President Slapped(Video)

News coming in from the Jasikan College of Education in the Oti region indicates that the SRC president of the school, Freeman Zokah was earlier arrested by the police.
In a video which is making waves on the internet, a police officer allegedly gave the SRC president a slap before his arrest. There were about six police officers around the SRC president at the moment.
HOW IT STARTED
It all started when Jasikan College of students staged a demonstration against management of the school over poor conditions of their stay on campus.
The students body reveal that they have sent series of complaints to the college’s management but have received no reply from them.
The protest took place on August 15th and this resulted in the arrest and assault of their Student Representative Council (SRC) President, Freeman Zokah.
The demonstration was fueled by various issues that the students felt were not being adequately addressed by the college’s management.
One of the main concerns raised by the third-year students was the quality of meals served in the dining hall. They argued that the meals did not
meet the expected standards and were not nutritionally balanced.
Other concerns reveal that the sockets and other electrical gadgets in their dormitories weren’t working.
The protests heated up and management had no option but to call the Ghana Police Service. According to some students, the SRC president was arrested when the police arrived. Students account reveal that the police treated him like a criminal.
In the video which is making waves on the internet, the SRC president was allegedly slapped by one of the officers.
The protest escalated when the students body saw what was being done to their leader. They reportedly rushed on the police and got the SRC President released.
