There Is More To Life Than Football – Former GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi
Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kwesi Nyantakyi has stated that life is not all about football, as he has completed his football career.
Nyantakyi served as GFA President from 2005 to 2018, when investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas deposed him with a documentary.
Nyantakyi, a former FIFA Council member and vice-president of the Confederation of African Football, was banned for life in October 2018 by FIFA for violating bribery and corruption rules.
He was later barred from all football-related activities, and the Court of Arbitration for Sport reduced his life ban to 15 years (CAS).
Kwesi Nyantakyi, on the other hand, has maintained that he is not guilty of bribery because the video recording was forged.
When asked what he is doing about his 15-year football ban, he responded that he is doing nothing and that football has taken a back seat now because he has a lot on his plate other than football.
“I’ve stepped aside.” I’m not sure when I’ll be able to play football again. “I haven’t done anything about the 15-year ban,” he told KINGS TV GH SPORTS when asked if he plans to appeal the decision further. “
“Let’s move on from football.” Life is about more than football. I work as a lawyer. Football was not taught to me in school. It’s just a hobby. I’m currently preoccupied with far too many things.
“I put in a lot of effort in everything I do.” Everything is fine because I also have a banking background.
