In a motivational address at the 57th Congregation of KNUST, Nana Boakye, the founder and CEO of Pizzaman Chickenman, shared the inspiring story of his entrepreneurial journey, urging graduates to consider venturing into their own businesses. Boakye recounted how the idea for his food business originated during his time at KNUST and emphasized the importance of perseverance in overcoming challenges.

Speaking on the fourth day of the graduation ceremony organized for the College of Science, Boakye highlighted the humble beginnings of Pizzaman Chickenman, revealing that the business was initially set up in a hostel at KNUST. Despite facing numerous challenges, including the lack of logistics, Boakye and his team persevered in realizing their ambition to establish the food business.

Boakye’s speech, shared by Voice of KNUST on Facebook, reflected on the resourcefulness and determination that fueled the early stages of Pizzaman Chickenman. He noted that, in 2018, they started the business using their study table due to financial constraints and ingeniously employed Pythagoras’ theorem for their first packaging material, which was an A4 sheet.

“We started this business in our hostel back in KNUST. At the start, we used our study table because we couldn’t afford a kitchen table in 2018. Our first packaging material was an A4 sheet, and we applied Pythagoras’ theorem to do that,” the post read.
Boakye concluded his address by urging the graduates to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset as they enter the professional world. His entrepreneurial journey serves as an inspirational example of turning challenges into opportunities and pursuing dreams with determination.
