UEW Wins Tertiary Business Sense Challenge v5.0
The University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has won the 2023 Graphic Business Tertiary Business Sense Challenge Version 5.0, beating KNUST and UCC.
This event, organized jointly by the Graphic Business Newspaper and the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana, witnessed intense competition among some of Ghana’s top universities, including the University of Cape Coast (UCC) and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

UEW demonstrated its dominance right from the beginning, maintaining a commanding lead throughout the competition. They clinched this year’s title with a remarkable total score of 67.9 points, establishing themselves as the undisputed champions.

The University of Cape Coast secured a well-deserved second place with an impressive score of 51 points, closely followed by KNUST with 49.6 points.
The audience at the event was treated to an exciting display of strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
This victory is a historic milestone for UEW, as it joins esteemed institutions like KNUST, the University of Development Studies, and UCC as champions of the prestigious Tertiary Business Sense Challenge. Particularly noteworthy is that UEW, a first-time finalist, has set a new benchmark for excellence in the competition. This achievement underlines UEW’s commitment to academic excellence and its ability to excel in real-world business scenarios.

About Tertiary Business Sense Challenge
The Tertiary Business Sense Challenge serves as a platform for tertiary business schools across the country to showcase the quality of education they offer by pitting their students against one another. Its primary goals are to identify students with strong business acumen who actively engage in meaningful business discussions with their peers and, in turn, serve as exemplary role models and mentors to young business students.
As for sponsors, the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana is a key partner, responsible for managing the technical aspects of the competition, including question creation and evaluation. The Chartered Institute of Management and Accountancy contributes human resource support by providing judges and personnel.
