UG, KNUST Extend 2025 WASSCE Undergraduate Admissions to December 5

The University of Ghana (UG) and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) have extended the deadline for 2025 WASSCE undergraduate applications to December 5, 2025.
The window, originally set to close on December 2, was pushed forward following the late release of WASSCE results by WAEC.
The extension gives all applicants additional time to log into their respective admission portals, cross-check their biodata, upload their WASSCE results, and update programme selections. It also creates an opportunity for students who have not yet applied to complete the process before the new deadline.
Applicants are strongly advised to review all personal information entered into the system, ensure that their WASSCE grades are accurately updated, and submit their forms for processing.
However, students who began their applications but failed one or more core or key elective subjects will be unable to complete the undergraduate application process. Failed core subjects automatically disqualify candidates from being considered for degree programmes.
Such students are encouraged to apply for Diploma programmes instead. To do so, they may need to purchase new admission vouchers if their previous voucher was strictly for degree applications.
For others, resitting the failed papers may be the only viable option. WAEC has already opened the registration portal for candidates wishing to resit the examination as Private Candidates in the January/February 2026 WASSCE (PC).
WAEC has also published full details—including exam dates, fees, and application procedures—to make the registration process smooth and stress-free for interested candidates.
