UPSA Admission Requirements for Degree Programs

WASSCE Applicants Admission Requirements for Degree At UPSA
WASSCE applicants seeking admission to read degree programs at the University of Professional Studies should possess these requirements:
First, at least credit passes or better (i.e. A1- C6) in 3 Core Subjects, namely:
you should also possess at least credit passes (i.e. A1 to C6) in their 3 elective subjects.
Remember that your elective subjects must relate to the program you want to read.
SSSCE Applicants, Admission Requirements At UPSA
Likewise, SSSCE applicants must have at least credit passes or better (i.e. A- D) in all their Core Subjects, especially:
English Language
Mathematics and
Integrated Science
applicants in addition should obtain at least three credit passes (i.e. A-D) in their relevant Elective Subjects.
GCSE/ Cambridge GCE ‘O’ And ‘A-Level Applicants
Also, General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE)/ Cambridge GCE ‘O’ and ‘A’ Level applicants can apply for admission.
Such applicants must have at least five (5) credit passes at the GCSE, Baccalaureate, or Cambridge O’ Level in these subjects:
you should also have at least credit passes in your three relevant subjects at the ‘A-Level.
ABCE or GBCE Applicants Requirement For Degree Course At UPSA
such applicants should possess these requirements:
First, a Full Diploma Certificate (i.e., passes in five (5) subjects, including three compulsory subjects in the diploma option of the ABCE.
Second, you should have at least two of the passes of Grade D or better.
Also, you must have credit passes in five (5) subjects, including:
English Language
Mathematics and
Integrated Science or
Social Studies
Mature Applicants UPSA Degree Course Admission Requirements
Notably, Mature Applicants who apply for a degree program at UPSA should possess these qualifications:
First, you must be at least 25 years at the time of application.
Second, you should have at least three (3) years of relevant working experience at the time of application.
Third, you must have at least a Second Cycle Education background.
Fourth, you must pass the University Entrance Examination and Aptitude Test.
Where necessary, you should pass the University Applicants Interview.
Mature Applicants for BSc. in Actuarial Science program must possess at least credit passes at the GCE ‘O’ Level, WASSCE, SSSCE or GBCE in:
International Applicants Degree Admission Requirements At UPSA
Remember that the University will admit international applicants based on qualifications from their home countries.
In this case, the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) will assess and determine whether you qualify for admission.

UPSA will in addition inspect your evidence of proficiency in the English language if you are applying from a non-English speaking country. International applicants are requested to acquire a non-Citizen Ghana card as a prerequisite for an offer of admission.
In this regard, the University will not offer admission to international applicants who fail to provide evidence of possession of this card.
