The University of Ghana has released the provisional fees for the 2022/2023 academic year. Before students can proceed with their course registration, it is required that a 50% fee payment must be made.
Students must therefore take note of this when paying their fees.
Only pay fees at the University of Ghana Approved Banks

The list of banks is Standard Chartered Bank, Ecobank Ghana Limited, Absa Bank Ghana, Consolidated Bank Ghana, Guaranty Trust Bank Limited, Republican Bank Ghana Limited, Universal Merchant Bank, Access Bank, Prudential Bank, Ghana Commercial Bank, and Stanbic Bank Ghana Limited.

Students in all other colleges, aside from the students studying by Distance Education and Post First degree law students, are required to choose from the list of these banks to make payments. Also, students must note that for each of these banks, there are specific Account Names that must be used.
All deposits at the bank should be made with a Fee deposit slip
Every bank has different slips or forms which are used for different purposes. For example, there is a deposit slip, withdrawal slip, transfer slip, and many other more.
Whenever you enter a Bank to make your fee payment, make sure you use the Fee deposit slip.
Make inquiries from the security personnel or any other agent in the Bank because the usage of any other slip can land your money into any bank account.

Always ensure the Student Index number and names are correctly quoted
Whenever you fill out the fee deposit slip, make sure that the index number and student names are correctly quoted.
It is very necessary to cross-check the slip before submitting it to the bank teller. This is because the wrong index number you provided may be non-existent or it might be another student’s ID. And that will translate into a payment to another account.
Make sure to take a receipt and cross-check the receipt to see if your details were taken correctly.
If you fail to cross-check them and the unfortunate happens, you may have to go through a long, tiring procedure to revert the payment.
Always ensure that the amount quoted on the receipt is the correct amount paid
It is equally important to check if the amount on the receipt is the exact amount you paid. It is human for the teller to make mistakes. So there is a possibility that the teller might quote an amount lower or higher than the amount paid.
So right on the spot, cross-check the amount on and you can make an exit out of the bank if you are satisfied.
All deposits at the bank should be made with CASH only
Students have been strongly advised to make fee deposits with only cash. Meaning, there is no room for electronic money or any form of transfer so far as bank deposits are concerned.
Students must note that there are other alternatives such as paying from the comfort of your homes with UGPay through mobile money, Visa Card and Master Card.
