The date for releasing withheld 2022 WASSCE results has been announced by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).
According to WAEC, all withheld 2022 WASSCE results will be released only after the Council has completed its investigations.
WAEC has further indicated that the final decision will not be taken in less than 31 days.
“When your results are still withheld after an abnormal period of time, you may be called to the WAEC office in your region or at the WAEC-Ghana headquarters in Accra to make a statement concerning the exams’ malpractice,” the statement from WAEC said.
The seriousness of the examination malpractice has a direct effect on how long the investigation takes, and how early or late the results of such students are released.
WAEC has also put on hold the results of 8,486 students who were reported to the Council by the GES for various infractions in their schools after the examination.
Candidates are to return learning materials supplied to their respective schools or replace destroyed school properties, among others. This will be followed by a directive from the schools to GES and then to WAEC for the de-freezing of their WASSCE results.
Candidates are advised to present themselves when invited by WAEC to assist in investigations, as this will help speed up the process. Failure to be present will mean WAEC would take a decision in your absence.
