UPSA 2022/2023 Hostel Application Portal for Fresh and Continuing Students Opened for the academic year which starts in January 2023.

This notice comes to inform all Fresh and Continuing students of the University that the hostel application portal will be opened for bookings on Tuesday, 20th December 2022 at 10 am.

Students interested in residing at the University’s Hostels for the First and Second Semesters of the 2022/2023 academic year should follow the link below for more information.

Notice is hereby given that all students (levels 100, 200, 300 & 400) interested in residing at the University’s Hostels for the 1st & 2nd Semesters of the 2022/2023 academic year are to take note of the following:

1. All students must pay their semester fees and register their courses before they can get access to book.
2. Bookings and payments for the Hostels are for A SEMESTER STAY.
3. Hostels A and B will be opened for all levels for booking from Tuesday, 20th December 2022 at 10am each day.
4. Hostel C will be opened for levels 300 & 400 ONLY for booking from Tuesday, 20th December 2022 at 10am each day.
5. Registration and Check-in at the Hostels will be as follows
a) Level 100s – Sunday 8th January, 2023 –Hostels A & B
b) Level 200s – Sunday 15th January, 2023 –Hostels A & B
c) Level 300s & 400s – Sunday 5th February, 2023 – Hostels A, B & C
6. Deadline for Registration at the Hostels will be as follows
a) Level 100s – Friday 13th January, 2023
b) Level 200s – Friday 20th January, 2023
c) Level 300s & 400s – Monday 13th February, 2023

N/B: PLEASE DO NOT BOOK IF YOU KNOW YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN RESIDING AT THE HOSTELS.

You will be billed automatically when you book and you will be required to pay the amount.

B. PROCESSES TO REGISTER/ LOGIN /APPLY FOR BED REGISTRATION AND LOGIN PROCESS

1. PROCESSES FOR REGISTRATION, VERIFICATION, LOGIN & PAYMENT

1.1 REGISTRATION

a. All students are required to register on the Hostel Management System platform.
b. Students are to ensure they are registered on the USIS platform before attempting to register.
c. Students’ emails and phone numbers should be active and accessible, as login and verification credentials will be sent through emails.

Registration process
 Open the Hostel Portal from https://upsahostels.com
 Click on ‘Hostel Registration’ to open the registration form.
 Enter your UPSA Student ID, email and phone number
 Click on Register to process the registration.

1.2 VERIFICATION OF DETAILS

This ensures students’ details are correct and accessible to the student.
a) If the Student ID entered on the registration form is correct and active, the student should
receive a ‘One Time PIN’ (O.T.P.) via SMS.
b) Enter Student ID on the verification form at their respective fields.
c) Click “Validate” to complete the registration.
d) If the OTP is correct, you will receive your password through SMS.

1.3 LOGIN

a) The UPSA Hostel Application can be accessed at https://upsahostels.com
b) Enter your username (i.e. your student ID) and password, which was created during the initial registration.
c) Clicking the Sign-In button will send you to your student Portal. Continue by following the steps to reserve a bed.

1.4 RESETTING PASSWORD

a) On the Log In screen, click on “I Forgot My Password”.
b) Enter your email in the text box provided. Note that the email should be the email you
provided during your registration.
c) From the email, click on the link received which should redirect you to the hostel
application, asking for a reset of password.
d) Enter a password of your choice.
e) Clicking on the button will send you to the Log-in page for a login.

1.5 BOOKING PROCESS

a) Log-in to your portal, following the log-in process.
b) Select the Hostel of your choice (Note that the Hostels display the rooms available and their respective rates.)
c) Select the room, followed by the bed of your choice.
d) Read and accept the rules and regulations of the Hostels. Feel free to cancel your booking if you do not agree or accept the rules and regulations.

e) View your bill and approve your bed reservation.
Note that:
 You will be billed automatically after booking.
 You will receive an SMS confirmation of your reservation.
 Beds will be reserved until registration deadline.

1.6 PAYING FOR YOUR RESERVATION

a) Pay the Amount billed into your InterPay account at the Bank.
b) Log into your InterPay portal.
c) Select to pay the automatically billed amount. (You should receive an SMS confirmation of your payment).

3. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
a. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK IF YOU KNOW YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN
RESIDING AT THE HOSTELS.

You will be billed automatically when you book and you will be required to pay the amount.
b. Read the Rules and Regulations governing the Hostels on the University’s website (www.upsa.edu.gh) before applying.
c. Secure a bed (successfully book) before making any Hostel fee payment.
d. Hostel fee payment procedure is the same as academic facility user fee payment (you pay into the University Access Bank account, the money will be transferred into your wallet, then you disburse according to other Hostel fee items on the portal).

e. Monies paid (disbursed) are not refundable.
f. Your secured bed will be taken from you if you fail to pay the Hostel fee by the registration deadline for each level.
g. Impersonation will attract severe punishment.
h. Hostel Management reserves the right to re-assign a student to a different room when the need arises.
i. Beds 1 and 3 are down beds whiles Beds 2 and 4 are top beds.
