Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the UK curriculum standards for ICT and Computing.
• Design and adapt instructional materials, resources, and activities to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Facilitate interactive and participatory classroom sessions, utilizing a variety of teaching methodologies, including lectures, discussions, group activities, and practical demonstrations.
• Provide clear explanations of complex ICT and computing concepts, ensuring student comprehension and application.
• Develop assessments, quizzes, and assignments to evaluate students’ grasp of the subject matter.
• Mark and grade assignments promptly, providing constructive feedback to guide students’ learning progress.
• Identify students’ strengths and areas requiring improvement and offer personalized assistance to help them succeed academically.
• Provide extra help and guidance to students who are struggling with the material, conducting one-on-one or small group tutorials as needed.
• Integrate relevant technologies, software applications, and tools into lessons to enhance understanding and practical skills.
• Foster students’ digital literacy by encouraging them to use technology responsibly and effectively.
• Establish a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and a passion for ICT and computing.
• Enforce classroom rules and discipline in a fair and consistent manner.
• Stay updated with advancements in ICT and computing fields, educational methodologies, and curriculum changes.
• Complete administrative tasks such as attendance records, grade reporting, and curriculum documentation in a timely manner.
• Contribute to departmental meetings and collaborative curriculum development efforts.

Qualifications and Requirements: Vacancy for ICT/Computing Tutor

• Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) desirable.
• Strong expertise in ICT and Computing concepts, programming languages, networking, databases, and software applications.
• Prior teaching or tutoring experience with a demonstrable track record of student success.
• Proficiency in using technology for educational purposes and a willingness to explore new tools.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
• Adaptability and the ability to differentiate instruction based on students’ needs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, ICT, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• A passion for fostering students’ interest and proficiency in ICT and Computing.
