Veteran Comic Actor, Mr Ibu Undergoes Major Surgery
Veteran comic actor, Mr Ibu, known for his hilarious performances in the Nigerian comedy industry, is currently undergoing major surgery.
The news was announced by his adopted daughter, Jazmine Okafor, on Tuesday morning via Instagram.
Just a day before, Mr Ibu celebrated his 63rd birthday, but it was a bittersweet occasion as he found himself in an undisclosed hospital in Lagos.
In a heartfelt video posted on Instagram, the actor revealed that he was in need of financial support to prevent the amputation of his leg.
Opening up about his condition, Mr Ibu said, “I have been down for so many weeks, all I’m hoping for is your prayers and assistance.
I’ve been in the hospital, and as I speak to you, I’m still lying down here.

The medical director says that if his new idea doesn’t work, the best solution is to cut off my leg.
But where will I go if they do that? I implore you to pray for me, talk to God Almighty.
I don’t want my leg to be amputated. God bless you.”
Providing an update on her father’s state of health, Jazmine expressed her admiration for his strength.
Despite undergoing two major surgeries, Mr Ibu still managed to crack jokes and maintain his sense of humor.
Jazmine revealed that he is the strongest she has seen him in three weeks.
In an emotional message to her father, she wrote, “Never seen anyone so strong…even after two major surgeries, you were still trying to be funny like nothing happened, even in your lowest, you still cracked jokes! I promise you, if there’s a God in heaven, you are getting out of this bed, stronger and alive. This is the strongest I have seen you in 3 weeks, and I’m so excited! Fight this and get well soon, sweet papa.”
Mr Ibu’s fans and well-wishers have flooded social media with messages of support and prayers for his quick recovery.
