Ahead of the much anticipated first round of NPP’s Flagbearer race, Mr. Solomon Owusu a member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Communications Team has alleged that Vice President Bawumia is camping delegates and also dishing out more cash to the said delegates with the hope that, they (the delegates) will vote for him.
The upcoming election is expected to be used to separate the boys from the men in the race for the NPP 2024 flag bearer race.
VP Bawumia camping delegates, intensifying money sharing – Solomon Owusu alleges
Solomon Owusu indicated that the VP has a sense of danger that, he may not make it into the top five winners hence his new strategy.
He asserted that it has become very clear that, if the vice president does not pay money to the executives, he will not be part of the top five. He added that as part of the strategy to share money to the executives who will be voting, the VP has started having what he called strategic regional executives’ meetings across the country with the eligible voters.
The New Patriotic Party will organize a super delegates conference on Saturday, August 26, 2023, to vote for Five candidates out of the Ten presidential candidate aspirants who will subsequently contest in the party’s upcoming presidential primaries in November for the election of presidential candidate for the 2024 general elections
NPP has however slated 4th November, 2023 for its main election to elect the flag bearer out of the top five to be voted for in the mini-election to be held.
Solomon Owusu, a Loyalist of Flagbearer hopeful, Alan Kyerematen in an interview questioned the source of funding for this extravagant campaign by the Vice President.
He claimed to have chanced upon a notice of regional executive retreat at Nkwanta South constituency which is only to camp delegates for the Vice President.
