WAEC denies release of 2024 provisional WASSCE for School results

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has denied the release of the provisional results of students who sat for the 2024 edition of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination for School.

This comes after a purported statement from WAEC said out of the 460,611 candidates, made up of 2 95ales and 247,657 females, from 1,003  Senior High Schools who sat for the WASSCE, about 19,808 had their results cancelled due to examination malpractice.

But WAEC describing the statement as fake and untrue has urged members of the general public particularly students who sat for the WASSCE for School to disregard any such information about the results release.

The West African Senior School Certificate Examination for School Candidates, 2024 which started on Monday, August 5, 2024, with the administration of Visual Art Project work ended on Friday, September 20, 2024.

A total of 460,611 candidates made up of 212,954 males and 247,657 females, presented by 1,003 participating schools registered for the examination. The examination was administrated at 1,000 centres across the country.
