WAEC assures release 2024 WASSCE results soon after receiving ₵25m from MoE
“We are sure the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for School results will be released possibly before the year ends,” the GES Director-General told an Accra-based media station.
In other news, private Senior High Schools expressing concern over the delay in the WASSCE results release amid a debt owed to WAEC by the government have called the Examinations Council to release their examination results.
They have described as unacceptable the delay in the release of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for School results since their candidates made payments for it and thus should not be affected.
The West African Examinations Council on August 5, 2024, commenced the administration of the 2024 edition of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for School Candidates and ended it on Friday, September 20, 2024.
A total of 460,611 candidates made up of 212,954 boys and 247,657 girls, presented by 1,003 second-cycle schools participated in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination administrated at 1,000 centres across the country.
The Conference of Heads of Private Second Cycle Schools (CHOPSS), has said it would, in collaboration with parents and students, be compelled to take further action if the situation was not addressed in the coming days.
