WAEC to mark WASSCE 2022 Maths Papers With “Iron Hands”

WAEC to mark WASSCE 2022 Maths Papers With “Iron Hands” following the leakage of sections of the paper on social media.

The latest update from WAEC on the ongoing WASSCE 2022 indicates the leakage of Mathematics (Elective) Paper 2 and Mathematics (Core) Paper 2.  According to the council, it received reports of some handwritten extracts of some questions from the two mathematics papers on monitored social media platforms.

It has therefore indicated it will implement best practices in accessing and marking the scripts to protect the credibility of the results.

The above is a clear indication the Council does not intend to cancel the papers but instead will apply the strictest marking of scripts.

WAEC further indicated that it had not received any complaints about schools or school authorities restricting access to school compounds for monitoring purposes since it raised concerns ahead of the examination.

  • Some times I don't know what is wrong with GES and WACE. The Students are seating comfortably in their homes praying for God to help them go through the Exam they'll write successful, and now they'll say there's a lickage in an Examination without even them knowing anything about. WACE is the one Setting the questions for the people and they still keep it with them, the paper only come for the students to write. So now all this, who is going to be blame now. The Students or WACE.
