The West African Examination Council (WAEC) is yet to pay 2022 BECE Examiners for their services. The temporal staff who were involved in marking the just released results do not know the exact day the reward for their services will be paid to them.
In the 2021 examination year, it took nearly a year and complaints from examiners and concerns were raised by the minority in parliament over the government’s failure to pay for the 2020 and 2021 examination fees owed to WAEC before the examiners were paid.
The educators who sacrificed their time and effort to ensure the scripts are marked are looking forward to the immediate payment of the earnings by WAEC.
