Ahead of the start of the main papers of the ongoing WASSCE for school candidates, the examination council has cautioned candidates against WASSCE 2021 Apor activities and platforms.
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) cautioned all candidates writing the 2021 WASSCE not to rely on rogue websites parading that they have leaked papers for sale.
WAEC also cautioned the public about has false information about the ongoing WASSCE. The council added that such information has the ability to tarnish the integrity of the examination, its outcome and hurt the future of the candidates.
Head of National Office at WAEC, Mrs. Wendy Enyonam Addy-Lamptey advised all candidates of the WASSCE 2021 to be extra careful so that they are not deceived by the rogue websites and their activities which turn their attention away from their books.
“We advise all candidates who have joined such platforms to exit from them immediately and concentrate on their studies,” she added.
WAEC organized a press conference in response to the alleged leakage of examination papers (Food and Nutrition Paper 3)

She added that, that students are being asked to join a platform called “Smart WASSCE Hub” for leaked questions and assistance to students.
She said WAEC, together with the security operatives, was on the alert and was working to bring the perpetrators to book.

Again, she said the council had received tip-offs from some concerned persons about plans being hatched and money being collected to enable candidates to cheat during the examination.
She, therefore, cautioned the schools against such acts, adding that “ we will follow up with the necessary actions.”
