WASSCE 2025 Exam leakage update: Teacher Arrested for WAEC Exam Leak
BREAKING: WAEC Releases First Series 2025 Nov/Dec Results
A serious case of exam malpractice has surfaced, involving a teacher arrested for allegedly possessing and sharing live West African Examinations Council (WAEC) questions.
The case, which was heard at the Goaso District Court in the Ahafo Region, involves Adefrah Josiah, a 36-year-old Physics teacher at Ahafoman Senior High Tech School.
Adefrah Josiah was arrested for having the Physics 3 Practical Alternative A exam questions on his mobile phone. These questions were reportedly shared with multiple individuals via WhatsApp. When arraigned before the Goaso District Court on October 8, 2025, Mr. Josiah pleaded not guilty to the charges. He was granted bail in the amount of GH₵30,000 with two sureties.
At the second court hearing on October 8, 2025, the Prosecutor, Chief Inspector Daniel Tawiah, informed the court that the case was “yet to be filed”.
Adjournment: The case, filed under Court Case No. B7/131/2025 , has been adjourned to November 11, 2025, for further proceedings. The complainant, Abdul Salam, attended the hearing.
This incident raises significant concerns about the integrity of WAEC-administered exams. Even more worryingly, evidence recovered from Adefrah Josiah’s mobile phone suggests that other teachers may be implicated in this exam scandal.
