West Blue suit: Your latest scheme shall fail like the earlier ones – Okudzeto Ablakwa taunts Gabby
In the ongoing legal saga between West Blue and the Government of Ghana, Member of Parliament Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has entered the fray, taunting Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko and predicting the failure of what he calls Gabby’s “latest scheme.”
West Blue has filed a lawsuit against the Ghana Revenue Authority for GH¢289 million in arrears for services rendered under the National Single Window and Integrated Risk Management System since August 2015. The choice of law firm, Africa Legal Associates, co-founded by Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, has raised eyebrows due to his association with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and being a cousin of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the North Tongu MP, took to social media to criticize Gabby’s legal action, accusing him of seeking refuge in court while demanding over GH¢280 million from his cousin’s government. Ablakwa recalled Gabby’s past criticism of the Mahama administration over what he termed a “corrupt and inflated” West Blue contract.
In a post on November 18, Ablakwa stated, “Gabby’s latest scheme shall equally fail just like his earlier clandestine sleazy manoeuvres. Just watch out for our grand strategy to protect the battered public purse and salvage what is left of this bankrupt IMF-bailout economy.”
To emphasize his point, Ablakwa shared previous posts by Gabby Otchere-Darko, highlighting the latter’s criticisms of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government under John Mahama regarding the terms of the West Blue contract.

Let me assure the good people of Ghana that despite my focus on relief efforts for thousands of VRA-induced flood victims in my beloved constituency, I am sharply aware that after I exposed and scuttled Gabby Otchere-Darko’s behind the scenes West Blue shenanigans in the famous… pic.twitter.com/VH907Wragh
