The 2023 School Placements will be out in February 2023, but do you know everything you must do after checking the 2023 School Placement for 2022 BECE as a parent or student?
In this information-packed article, Ghana Education News will walk you through all that you need to know and do from start to finish.
A. Checking the School Placement
When the placements are officially out, parents and students will require a new checker card called the school placement checker. This will be used to access your placement on the CSSPS portal.
B. Documents to print online
Once you check your details, and you notice you have been placed, you will have to print key documents from the portal.
Make photocopies of these documents after printing them. These are:
i. The Placement Form: This form contains your grade, raw score, schools you chose, and the school you have been placed in
ii. The enrolment form: This form is supposed to be filled with your details, that of your parents and guardians. Information such as the name of your parent, occupation of your parent or guardian, etc, and your hobbies will be entered on this. The form will often have to be endorsed by the head of your JHS.
C. Other Documents You Need
In addition to the above forms, students will need
i. About three copies of the BECE results
ii. Four current passport pictures
iii. Two brown envelopes or clear bags for carrying your forms and other documents along to the school
D. Submit documents
The next thing to do once you have the above is to report to the school you have been placed.
Join the queue for parents who are in the school to process their wards’ enrolment. You will need a lot of patience and time because the process of having access to the head of school in charge of academics at this time can be stressful.
Once you get to see the officer, your documents will be crossed checked against the school’s own data.
When it is confirmed that all the documents and details are valid, and you have been placed in the school, you will be taken through the process of getting the school prospectus.
E. Complete forms/ Prospectus -Registration
The prospectus comes with some requirements which must be provided. Students going to boarding school will have their own list of items to be submitted.
