When Will WAEC Release the 2026 WASSCE Results?
2026 WASSCE Results Release Date (Ghana): WAEC has not officially confirmed the date for the release of the 2026 WASSCE School Candidates’ results. However, based on the examination calendar and previous release patterns, candidates should watch for results between Saturday, August 30 and Friday, September 4, 2026, with an earlier release also possible.
For hundreds of thousands of final-year Senior High School students across Ghana, the wait has become the hardest part of the journey.
After weeks of examinations, late-night revisions, and months of hoping for the best, one question now dominates conversations in homes, schools, and WhatsApp groups:
“When will WAEC release the 2026 WASSCE results?”
While the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has not yet announced an official release date, several indicators suggest that students may not have much longer to wait.
Expected Release Date for the 2026 WASSCE Results
The most likely release window is: August 30 to September 4, 2026, although an earlier release remains possible if WAEC completes marking, moderation, and quality assurance ahead of schedule.
Unlike rumours circulating on some social media platforms, WAEC has not published an official date for the release of the School Candidates’ results. The Council’s website continues to provide official updates through its news section and results portal.

Why students expect the results soon
Every year, WAEC follows a detailed process before releasing results.
The Council does not simply upload grades after marking ends.
Instead, officials must complete several stages, including:
Marking examination scripts.
Cross-checking scores.
Moderating results.
Investigating reported examination irregularities.
Approving the final results before publication.
This process helps ensure that the grades released to candidates accurately reflect their performance.
With the 2026 examination cycle now completed and other WAEC processes progressing, many education observers expect the Council to announce the results within the next few weeks.
