How to get tickets to Qatar World Cup 2022?

Fans may still purchase World Cup tickets via FIFA’s ticket website, with the governing body planning to continue selling until the event begins.

FIFA sold an estimated 1.8 million tickets during the first window of sales, which began in early 2022, with further sales beginning in July and August. With great demand expected, the remaining tickets were made available on a first-come, first-served basis.

According to FIFA, their ticketing portal is the only guaranteed place to buy Qatar 2022 match tickets.

The world governing body has consistently advised fans to buy tickets only through their official channels and has issued strict warnings about the dangers of purchasing through unlicensed sellers and social media outlets.

Qatari authorities have also announced their own crackdown, with the Ministry of Justice tweeting in July that anyone caught illegally selling World Cup tickets would face a fine of 250,000 Qatari riyals ($69,000).

Fans who want to resell their purchased tickets must do so through FIFA’s official resale platform, which is expected to be open for an extended period of time in the weeks leading up to the tournament.

How much do World Cup tickets cost?

Four types of tickets will be available to World Cup fans in Qatar, as well as specific ticketing for individuals with impairments and restricted mobility.

Category 1 is the most expensive ticket up for sale.

Categories 2 and 3 are stadium seating zones that provide a less-than-premium view of the action.

Category 4 is a seating space inside the stadium allocated only for Qataris.

All tickets will be on sale in Qatari riyal and are available to both Qatari locals and foreign fans, with prices ranging from 40 riyals ($11) to 5,850 riyals ($1,607).
