Following Argentina’s 1-2 loss to Saudi Arabia, Lionel Messi has been mocked by many social media users. Check out why Messi is being mocked on social media below.
We all know there are two players most people call the GOAT of football, which is Messi and Ronaldo. The Argentine GOAT was supported by massive fans this morning since it was his first match in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Many people were expecting Argentina to win since he was their captain, but unfortunately, they lost to Saudi Arabia. Messi scored the first goal with a penalty and his fans were really impressed, they thought he would make a difference.
Argentina also scored about 2 goals that were ruled offside in the first half, so their fans had hope that they would do better in the second half.
Fast-forward, Saudi Arabia equalized, and the Argentine fans began shaking. Less than 6 minutes, the Arabians added another goal which made it 1-2. There was still hope that the Argentines would win or at least equalize, but the game ended 1-2. Due to this, social media is really mocking Messi for being in the team and conceding a loss.
