You deserve to be lashed – Gabby Otchere-Darko blasts contractor over slow pace of work

The contractor constructing the flyover across the Spintex Road at the Flower Pot Junction in Accra has been criticised by Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, a prominent member of the New Patriotic party and cousin to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Even though the project’s funding is guaranteed, Gabby claims that the contractor has been treating it as a side gig for charity.
The contractor’s dedication was described by Gabby as bothersome, but she also hinted that the contractor should be whipped for it.
The road contractor responsible for constructing the flyover over Spintex Road at Flower Pot Junction is the one who should be slapped. Despite the project’s secured funding, they treat it like a part-time charity job. “Galling!” he exclaimed in an online Facebook post.
As part of a $145 million project along the Tema Motorway, the Ghanaian government is constructing the Flower Pot flyover at the moment.
Despite the project’s stated goal of reducing traffic congestion once completed, the section is now seeing significant traffic.
For many Ghanaians who reacted to the call, the attitude of the contractor is a minor picture of how the government has managed the Ghanaian economy in all regards.
The message he left on his Facebook page read…
“If a road contractor deserves to be lashed, then it is the one building the Flower Pot Junction flyover across Spintex Road. They work as if it is a part-time charity job even though there’s secured funding for the project. Galling!”
However, Ghanaians have taken the steam out of his frustration and roasted him on social media for demanding that the work be fast-paced. Check out some of the comments below.

HEY, DE FACTO PRESIDENT! IS IT ON SOCIAL MEDIA THAT YOU ASK FOR ACCOUNTABILITY?? CRIMINAL LOOKING FOR AN ULTERIOR REASON TO MAKE US THINK HE’S CLEAN. I TELL YOU IF THERE’S ANYONE DESERVING OF INSTANT JUSTICE, IT’S YOU THIS CRIMINAL WE KNOW!
The contractor involve is Chinese company would they do that in China?Or is it bcoz Gabby is related to the President so we shd support the foreigner to threat us shabbily .It was exactly the same scenario that allowed the Americans & Europeans to enslaved us.
The funds are not there. The Chinese are not releasing the money because your criminal government is telling them they will suffer 30 to 40% haircut. That is the reason the IMF has not released the second tranche of money. Gabby lied. The funds are not available. Thieves
Johnny you are totally wrong! It is the attitude of this government towards the every day life of we poor Ghanaians which is being replicated by the contractor!
How many serious issues has this government solved, but rather worsened issues.
Have you asked the contractor why the pace of work is slow?
Precisely. The Chinese are holding back the money because of the haircut the government is seeking on their loans. The money is not there.
As for this one, my good friend Gabby is right. The contractor is working there as if the job is his part time job. Meanwhile, the contract spells on performance guarantee, so I don’t understand why the road ministry is sleeping without sanction this contractor?
Just look at the contractor’s home country they are constructing bridges, flyovers, electric rail lines over the sea is that the speed they use over there.Politics has eaten the brain of some few Ghanaians who cannot speak up for what is due us.
